The Best Old-Fashioned Fudge Sauce

Rich, Chewy, and Irresistible

PASTRYCHEFONLINE.COM

Here's what you'll need to make this old-fashioned ice cream shop classic.

The sauce is made in two parts: 1)Sugars, salt, and dairy 2)Cocoa, chocolate, and flavorings. Cook the dairy until it's lightly caramelized, then pour over the chocolate mixture.

This is about the color you're looking for. Depending on how large a batch you're making, this could take from 15-30 minutes. For best flavor, don't skip this step!

Whisk the dairy and chocolate together until smooth. Strain into jars for storage, and reheat to serve. See the next slide for a serving suggestion.

For a special breakfast or a healthier dessert, drizzle some fudge sauce over rich Greek yogurt and top with some granola. Chocolate for breakfast? Yes, please, at least every once in a while!
