For the crust, you'll cream together butter and sugar.
Then cream in an egg and blend in flour, salt, and a little vanilla.
You can use a hand mixer, stand mixer, or even make by hand.
Mix together eggs, brown sugar, coconut, chopped pecans, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
Spread on top of the crust, and bake for about 20 minutes, until puffed and firm around the edges.
Whisk together powdered sugar, (optional) lemon zest, and lemon juice into a fairly thin glaze.
Spread onto cooled filling and allow to dry completely.
