An Easy Take on a Classic Comfort Food Recipe

pastrychefonline.com

Classic fettuccine alfredo is usually made with butter, Parmesan, and not much more. This recipe uses heavy cream, cream cheese, and a little grated cheese for an easy sauce with lots of body.

This recipe makes 2 generous portions, but you can easily scale up to feed 4 or more. Once you get the technique down, you can add your own spices and flavorings and make it your own.

Here's what you'll need: Pasta Cream Cream cheese garlic salt pepper Asiago or Parmesan cheese chicken tenders

While pasta is cooking in salted water, reduce the cream, salt, pepper, and garlic until thick. Add cream cheese and grated Asiago or Parmesan. Stir until melted and smooth.

Season chicken tenders simply and saute for 3-4 minutes per side, until done.  Cut into bite-sized pieces.

When pasta is done, toss and a little pasta water with the sauce, and cook until sauce reduces to the original thickness. Toss with chicken to coat, and serve.
