For Penne alla Vodka and More!

Vodka sauce starts with your favorite marinara sauce. Then you add vodka. The alcohol in the vodka helps bring out the alcohol-soluble flavors in the tomatoes. It's finished with Parmesan and cream.

Ingredients

Marinara sauce Vodka Heavy Cream Fresh Parmesan Cheese

Here are the ingredient ratios so you can make as little or as much as you want: 4 parts marinara 1 part vodka 1/2 part cream 1/4 part Parmesan

For example, for 1 cup marinara, add 1/4 cup vodka. Reduce to the original amount. Blend in 2 Tablespoons cream and 1 Tablespoon Parm.

Add finished sauce to al dente pasta along with a little of the cooking water. Boil, stirring the whole time, until the sauce thickens and coats all the noodles evenly.

Or, use your vodka sauce as pizza sauce for a pan pizza. This is known as "drunken Grandma" pie, and it is as delicious as the name is funny!
