The Best Strawberry Swirl Brownie Recipe

pastrychefonline.com

Ingredients

–1 1/4 C flour –3/4 tsp baking powder –12 oz butter –2 oz  cream cheese –4 oz chocolate  –9 Tbsp cocoa powder  –1 tsp salt –2 1/4 C sugar –2 1/2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar –4 eggs --3/4 C strawberry jam

Procedure

1)Melt butter and cream cheese 2)Stir in chocolate to melt 3)Whisk in cocoa powder and salt, balsamic, and sugar. 4)Stir in the eggs, one at a time, and then whisk in the dry ingredients.

Stir the jam to loosen it, then stir in balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze to make the swirl. You can use up to 1 cup of jam if you want more strawberry flavor.

Stir balsamic vinegar into the strawberry jam, and then drop "blobs" of jam evenly all over the top of the batter.

Insert a table knife into the batter and run it back and forth in a zig zag pattern, first one way, and then the other.

Bake until set and shiny on top. If you stick a toothpick in the center, it will come out with very moist crumbs. This will take 45 minutes-1 hour, depending on how large your pan.

Cool and chill before slicing. They're delicious warmed up with ice cream and/or whipped cream and cut strawberries.  They're equally good all by themselves!
