While this isn't a traditional no-churn ice cream recipe, you can make this ice cream whether or not you have an ice cream maker. Consider making the raspberry swirl variation!

Here is what you'll need to make the lemon ice cream base.

This is a no-cook ice cream base. Melt the cream cheese, whisk until smooth, and add the sugar, sweetened condensed milk, dairy, and salt.  Whisk in the lemon zest and juice last.

Put the bowl of ice cream in the freezer, with the whisk still in it if you have room.  Whisk every 45 minutes until it is as thick and frozen as soft-serve ice cream.  Freeze it until firm.

Thanks to cream cheese, the ice cream is nice and scoopable straight from the freezer. It's tangy and refreshing with the creamy consistency of a premium brand. You're going to love it.
