No Egg, and with a Dairy-Free Option

Here's what you'll need to make this delicious pudding. See next slide for amounts.

3 oz (1/2 cup) dark chocolate chips 2 tsp vanilla 6 oz (3/4 cup) brown sugar 1.3 oz (6 Tbsp) cocoa powder 2 Tbsp + 1 tsp flour 3/8 tsp salt 20 oz (2 1/2 cups) milk


Put chips and vanilla in a bowl. Bring the rest of the ingredients to a boil, whisking constantly, until nicely thickened. Strain into the bowl, and stir until smooth.

This pudding is rich and satisfying. If you need to make it dairy free, you can use water--yes really!  Or substitute coffee or your favorite plant-based milk.

To decorate serving bowls for a holiday theme, dip rims in corn syrup, then roll in holiday sprinkles. For Halloween, add candy eyes!
