Delicious Apple Custard Pie

(Slab Pie  for a Crowd)

With a sweetened yogurt custard and warmly-spiced apples all nestled in a crunchy, crumbly, nutty cookie crust, it's hard to resist!

Here's what you'll need to make this pie.

Whisk all the custard ingredients together. Let it sit for about 5 minutes so the sugar dissolves completely, then whisk again and pour into your lined pan.

Peel, slice, and cook the apples. Let them cool, and then spoon evenly over the custard. Top with a simple lattice crust (no need to weave!)

Eggwash the pastry, sprinkle with coarse sugar, and bake until deeply golden-brown and delicious. Cool the pie before slicing.
