Welcome to Dinner Divas’ Weekly Meal Plan, Week 9, friends! This week, we have a lovely summery menu for you. Not too meat heavy, a lot of variety, and some lovely extras that are perfect for picnics. Switch up the nights, or even switch up the weeks. With our meal plans, you’ll never have to wonder again (not too hard anyway) what’s for dinner!
Pork Banh Mi Burgers from The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen start off the week right! The banh mi burger is a symphony of textures and flavors from the mellow, juicy pork to the sharp, crisp bite of pickled vegetables to the cool, spicy smoothness of the spicy mayo. You’re going to love these guys!
One-pot Pasta with Fresh Tomatoes and Spinach from The Chef Next Door is ready in under 30 minutes and is a great vegetarian option. Tons of big flavors for minimal effort–how’s that for a weeknight home run?
Tomato and Goat Cheese Tart from Pook’s Pantry is the perfect summer tart. What better way to celebrate whatever heirloom tomatoes are ripe in your neck of the woods than by making this gorgeous tart? And with the onion-goat cheese-tomato-Parmesan combination, you’re going to be in heaven. Make this. And when you do, post some pictures and tag the #dinnerdivas!
Strawberry Mango Salad with Strawberry Poppyseed Vinaigrette from Comfortably Domestic is going to cool down your Thursday night. In hot weather, a big dinner salad is a welcome addition to the table. This lovely number from Kirsten is jazzed up with seasonal fruit and a snappy homemade vinaigrette. Make it with chicken or sub in your favorite protein. You can even leave the meat out and make this into a side dish. Versatile this salad is, says Yoda.
Sausage Gravy Pizza with Peppers & Onions from….me! Whether you know it or not, sausage gravy makes an excellent pizza sauce! Top it like I did with peppers and onions or make it a breakfast pizza topped with peppers, onions, egg and cheese. Either way, you’re really going to enjoy your Friday as you expand your idea of what “pizza sauce” is.
The Best Strawberry Shortcake from Comfortably Domestic. Take a moment to look at that dessert, friends. Classic, and I don’t think I really need to say anything else except make sure to make this at your earliest convenience. You can even pack the biscuits, fruit and cream separately, and then assemble right before serving for a very fancy picnic dessert!
Potato Salad with Bacon, Corn, and Peppers from Girl in the Little Red Kitchen is making me hungry. It is filled with all the things I love, not the least of which is potatoes! If you are a potato fiend like I am, be sure to add this version to your repertoire.Who Are the Dinner Divas?
