Lighter Loaded Potato Soup from Comfortably Domestic. Hello comfort in a slightly healthier package. Here’s the flavor lineup: butter, sour cream, cheese, scallions, and bacon. Yup, Just what you want on a chilly evening while still feeling somewhat Virtuous.
Polish Sausage with Apples, Onions, and Butternut Squash from me. I have to admit, friends, I just posted this to the blog on Tuesday, but it is so good and really so easy to make, I didn’t want you to miss it. The spaetzle literally take about 3 minutes to make, and the rest is a 1-pan affair of fall flavors. You gotta make it.
Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Pizza from The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen. I am in love with the flavors in this pizza! And add to that the milky, creaminess of the ricotta, and Bob’s your uncle. Dinner is served! What does Bob’s your uncle even mean? If you know, let me know. I’ll be in the kitchen making this pie.
Cheddar Beer Soup from The Chef Next Door. When cheese dip meets soup, this is what happens. And everyone should grab a spoon. There are a fair number of ingredients in this soup, but the procedure is straightforward and the end result full of flavor. Once you get your ingredient prep done, it’s only about 30 minutes til dinner!
Vegan Crispy Tofu Asian Noodle Bowl from Pook’s Pantry. Look at that tofu! That’s not pale, rubbery cubes of soy. It’s practically meaty! That comes from thorough pressing and draining, a flavorful marinade, and a serious sear. Add the vegetables Cheryl suggests or go your own way. And then pile everything into a bowl of noodles. Or arrange attractively–whichever works for you. Then prepare to dig in.
Caramel Apple Cupcakes with Apple Cider Buttercream from Pook’s Pantry. This might be the falliest fall cupcake ever. And I mean this in the best possible way. Caramel apple cupcakes. Apple cider buttercream. Heaven!
Salted Caramel Fruit Dip from Comfortably Domestic. Everyone needs a solid salted caramel in their repertoire. And here it is. Use this as a dip, of course, but you can also pour it over ice cream or pound cake. Add a sploosh of it to your coffee and you’ll feel like you’re at the fancy espresso place. You should always have some of this in your fridge. What are you waiting for?
